Full-Time Data Operations Team Lead
Job Description
What We’ll Bring:
The Data Ops Team Lead is responsible for overseeing all of DriverRisk’s data processing for nearly 500 file-based data sources. This includes the daily monitoring of all file loading activities and file movements within the DriverRisk production environment.
What You’ll Bring:
•A minimum of 5+ years in a role involving data processing, data transformation or data reconciliation
•Ability to write intermediate level SQL queries (selects, joins, aggregates, etc.) and analyze large data sets resulting in problem resolutions and improvement recommendations
•Ability to assist with onboarding new team members and provide mentorship
•Ability to manipulate and transpose large data sets in text files via command line interface or other shell scripting language
•Ability to effectively document and communicate complex data flows to various technical and non-technical teams
•Proven ability to read and analyze raw data files and compare with target database and file specs to identify processing problems
•Proven experience collaborating with stakeholders to ensure that their problems are resolved quickly and completely
•Ability to manage files in both a Windows and Linux environment
•Ability to create and support scheduled tasks within a Windows server environment
•Experience with ETL best practices and methodologies is a plus
•Experience with AbInitio a plus
Impact You’ll Make:
•Serve as Team Lead for the Data Operations team providing day-to-day management of key processes along with the management of existing Ops team members
•Responsible for all daily processing of nearly 500 data sources through the production system
•Ensure completion and accuracy of production data loads through each stage of the loading process using existing application tools
•Document and report on all file loading defects
•Perform gap analysis monthly to identify any missing datasets
•Identify and investigate scope of data processing exceptions/issues via SQL
•Manually edit/repair malformed source files and queue for re-processing
•Strive to maintain clean, consistent and complete data
•Provide operational support for key subject matching processes
•Work with internal stake holders to refine and enhance current processes
•Setup file delivery routing for new data sources
•Coordinate file conversions for data loading
•When needed provide night time and weekend support
•Assume ownership of ad hoc Data Operations projects as part of process improvements and large scale IT related changes such as data center migration and ETL upgrades
