Full-Time Data Engineer

THE ROLE
We are seeking a data engineer to join our team. This position will be responsible for building scalable data processing systems that safely and securely provide access to doxo proprietary data for internal use. This position will work closely with product management and software engineers on a talented team creating exceptional systems.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of industry experience
- The desire and capacity for learning quickly in a fast paced environment, while handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Experience with high scale, distributed, 24×7 systems and applications
- Fluency with Python
- Fluency with SQL in both transactional and analytical environments
- Experience with the AWS ecosystem
- Experience with data orchestration systems like Airflow desirable
- Experience with Linux platforms
- Experience with Snowflake data warehouses
- Experience with DBT, Ruby, Starburst/Trino/Presto, and Immuta desirable
- Strong analytical and design skills
- Ability to break down projects into workable pieces while maintaining overall bigger picture of how it fits in with the product
- Self-starter with can-do attitude who has relentless drive to improve quality
- Team player with strong written and oral communication skills
WITHIN 1 MONTH YOU WILL:
- Complete company onboarding
- Have a chance to work with each engineering team, learning who they are and what they are responsible for
- Make your first code commits
- Deliver your first code changes to production
WITHIN 3 MONTHS YOU WILL:
- Contribute to and help deliver features on the data roadmap
- Help in planning future features and changes for our data related systems
- Help build out the team through recruiting, high-bar interviewing, onboarding, and mentoring new team members
LONG TERM:
- Progress in your career path, with both team leadership and senior individual contribution roles available
- Help shape the technical vision for data at doxo
- Contribute to the growth and evolution of our organization
