Job Summary

As part of the Campus Planning team within the Facilities, Planning & Management (FPM) division, the Data Analyst oversees the ongoing, cyclical collection, input, and management of campus space-related data. The position will design and implement relevant data tracking and reporting to ensure the collection of clean, reliable data in support of campus long-range planning efforts including the development of the biennial capital budget. The data analyst will liaise with relevant FPM and unit data users to bridge the collection of relevant building and utility data. Collaboration, communication, and teamwork are essential skills for the position, necessary to support successful collaboration with campus stakeholders.

The Data Analyst is part of the Campus Planning team which manages the development of the biennial capital budget, the implementation and management of campus capital projects, and the advancement of the long-range campus plan in coordination with FPM, leadership, and campus stakeholders. Sustainability and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are integral to campus efforts.

Work will be performed primarily on the UW-Milwaukee campus, with requests for remote work considered after the initial training period. Hybrid work options may be available with specifics regarding work location requirements discussed during the interview process.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in information systems or related field, or equivalent experience
• Experience with space data management systems (ex. Archibus, ESRI Indoors, Assetworks, and/or similar software)
• Experience with data analysis, visualization, and reporting tools (ex. Power BI, Tableau, AlterYX, Crystal Reports, and/or similar software)
• Experience using spreadsheet and relational database software to organize, review, and analyze data
• Experience synthesizing data through writing

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Information Systems or related field
• Five years or more of professional data management experience
• Experience providing training and or support to internal or external stakeholders
• Experience troubleshooting/resolving system issues
• Experience working in higher education
• Experience working with AutoCAD or other drafting programs
• Experience working with diverse populations
