Part-Time Data Analyst
Job Description
Ocean Associates, Inc. is seeking a part-time Data Analyst for existing NOAA coastal resilience and fisheries management investments. OAI is a Virginia corporation established in 2003 that provides consulting and technical services to the U.S. government, non-governmental organizations, international organizations, and the private sector. We specialize in scientific program and project management, strategic planning, professional and technical services, and stakeholder engagement, supporting government contracts.
Duties
- Using qualitative and quantitative analyses to provide assessment of socioeconomic and environmental benefits, including but not limited to reducing economic losses, creating jobs and strengthening ecosystem and community resilience.
- Interpretation of peer-reviewed economic and scientific studies.
- Data analysis and interpretation of results for both technical and lay-audiences.
- Developing and maintaining spreadsheets of analyses and providing written summaries of analyses performed.
Start Date: Early August
Location: Remote/Telework.
Salary and Benefits: This is a part-time position with benefits. Salary: $40.00 to $45.00 per hour depending on experience. In case of a catastrophic event, weekend work may be required.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree with a minimum of 2 years total relevant experience.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Problem-solving and data analysis skills.
