Full-Time Daiper Program Manager (DPM)

Greater DC Diaper Bank (GDCDB) is hiring! We continue to impact the Washington, DC region by working towards ending diaper need, and we’d love for you to be a part of this journey.
We have an immediate need for a full-time, exempt Diaper Program Manager (DPM). This position will manage our Diaper Distribution program. The salary range for the DPM position is $60,000 – $68,000, commensurate with experience. This position will work five days a week, with four days (Monday – Thursday) being onsite at 8860 Monard Drive, Silver Spring, MD 20910.
What we’re looking for
Reporting to our Director of Operations, the DPM will be the main point of contact for the Diaper Distribution program, which provides 10M+ diapers each year to over 40,000 babies. With a strong grounding in the regional nonprofit landscape, the DPMeffectively stewards relationships with our large network of community and government partners and helps to anticipate partner needs. This role works closely with the Partnerships & Impact and the Operations teams to communicate with partners about the program, manage the flow of orders and inventory, and help collect data. This DPM will help lead existing programs as well as help develop new programs as the organization grows.
What you’ll be doing
The DPM’s primary responsibilities and duties include the following essential functions:
- Serve as the main point of contact for partners receiving diapers, including as a key team member on Distribution Days and Orientation sessions for partners.
- Collaborate with and supports the organization by working closely across all GDCDB teams, including the Nursery Project and the Baby Pantry core programs.
- Conduct site visits to GDCDB distribution partners.
- Provide technical assistance to distribution partners around ordering, data and tracking, and programmatic resources.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Manager to collaborate on inventory tracking and projections, leading this effort for the Diaper Distribution program to ensure appropriate inventory is on hand.
- Work closely with the Nursey Project and Baby Pantry Program Manager to manage inventory, determine focus, and communicate with partners.
- Monitor outcomes of data collection and reporting.
- Facilitate the development of resources for partners.
- Help analyze service areas and direct the growth of the Diaper Distribution program.
- Assist with annual budget planning for the Diaper Distribution program.
What you’ll bring along
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Master’s degree in social work, nonprofit management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of two years in the nonprofit space.
Other Qualifications:
- Experience using databases and business intelligence tools such as Access, Excel, and Word. Salesforce experience is a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Prior customer service experience with demonstrated success working with the public
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and highly organized
- Flexible team player
- Ability to work independently and apply critical thinking
- Interested in pursuing a career that addresses domestic poverty and/or economic inequality
Physical Demands: Occasionally in a stationary position, often standing, sitting, and being in front of a computer screen for prolonged periods. Constantly communicating with others to exchange information. Ability to work efficiently in a moderate-to-loud office environment, given the proximity of warehouse operations.
