Full-Time Customer Service Representative – Collections
Job Description
As a Barclays Customer Service Representative in the Barclays Financial Assistance (BFA) Collections team, you will be assisting our card customers with the resolution of their past due status through contact by phone, e-mail or through our website. Loss prevention, compliance adherence and customer satisfaction are the primary drivers within the BFA Department. You will be responsible for both inbound and outbound calls, solving issues and educating customers on specific account information and addressing customer concerns.
When you’ll work:
BFA representatives support Barclays customers across the US and non-traditional shifts may be anticipated (i.e. non-standard business hours or weekends).

What will you be doing?
- You will receive inbound and make outbound phone calls from customers, servicing their needs effectively and efficiently
- You will work with customers to offer payment programs and solve account problems
- Understanding and analyzing customer needs by actively listening and establishing rapport
- Using computer software application to properly service customers’ accounts
- You will take ownership of any follow-up work necessary to service customer and ensure that nothing slips through the cracks
- Demonstrating knowledge about products and services via both written and verbal communications
- Adhering to all compliance regulations and security policies
What we’re looking for:
- 1 years’ experience in collections or customer service
Skills that will help you in the role:
- 1+ years of Banking or credit card experience
- Computer literate; excellent PC and internet skills
