Full-Time Crew Manager

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

Supports and upholds Couleecap’s mission to fight poverty and promote self-sufficiency for individuals by helping to identify needs, mobilize resources, and provide quality services.

Works with team members to assure that blower door-guided analysis is performed on homes so that cost effective work is completed, and draft tests are performed to assure safe operation of combustion appliances.

Counsels clients on energy conservation awareness and practice.

Supervises and directs activities of Crew Leaders.  Coaches, advises, and mentors crews where appropriate.  Performs field work as needed.

Discusses problem areas with client and Crew Leaders and initiates change order when appropriate.  Assures that work order reflects actual time and materials installed on the job and documents unusual problems encountered.

Creates and implements a field training program for all Crew Members and Crew Supervisors. Provides hands-on training as necessary to field staff regarding weatherization, retrofit problems, and supervisory concerns.

Ensures the compliance of OSHA and other safety standards on the job and en route; coordinates with Energy Services Director to ensure any issues and concerns are addressed and enforced.

Initiates the team effort in performing energy conservation and/or rehabilitation measures according to the work order.  Works with numerous technological tools including infrared cameras, insulation blower machines, blower doors, pressure diagnostic computers, and digital pressure gauges, requiring considerable problem-solving solutions.

Assures that the vehicle is well maintained and that all tools are secured and in good operating condition.

Must be trained and certified in all applicable Lead Safe and Asbestos curriculum, as defined by funders or regulatory agencies.

Ensures that safety procedures are followed.

Performs other related work as assigned by the Energy Services Director.
