Long Term Care, Health Services

Status: Regular Full Time

# of positions: 1

Salary Range: $89,469 – $111,834 per annum plus comprehensive benefits

Work Mode: Onsite 

Location: Sheridan Villa LTC – 2460 Truscott Dr, Mississauga, ON, L5J 3Z8

Hours of work: 35 hours per week

Are you passionate about improving quality and safety in long-term care? We are looking for a dedicated CQI Specialist to join our team and lead transformative initiatives at our Centres. In this pivotal role, you will play a key part in ensuring our commitment to excellence in resident care while adhering to the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021.

What you will do in this role:

  • Spearhead the Centre’s CQI program and lead committee meetings focused on performance analytics and quality improvement tools.
  • Ensure compliance with the Fixing Long Term Care Act and related regulations.
  • Train and mentor staff on CQI methodologies to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Monitor quality indicators, identify areas for enhancement, and develop actionable plans based on data analysis.
  • Coordinate resident and family experience surveys, analyzing results to share valuable insights.
  • Collaborate across teams to implement best practices and robust risk management strategies.
  • Prepare detailed reports to maintain compliance with legislative requirements.

 

 

What the role requires:

  • University degree in Business Administration, Health Sciences, or a related field.
  • Adult Education experience is a plus
  • 3-5 years of experience in performance measurement and research methodologies.
  • Previous experience in a Long-Term Care environment.
  • Familiarity with the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021, and Ontario Regulation 246/22 is preferred.

 

 

Skills and Abilities:

  • Expertise in quality improvement methodologies and strong analytical skills. (Knowledge in tools like Process Mapping, Cause and Effect Diagrams, and other CQI techniques.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for training staff and reporting findings to stakeholders.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary teams, residents, and families.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives, timelines, and deliverables effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate documentation and compliance with legislative requirements.
  • Flexibility to adjust strategies based on feedback and changing needs within the care environment.
  • A strong dedication to enhancing the quality of care and improving resident experiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
