Overview
As the Branded Content Copy Editor, you will report to the Branded Content Director, working closely with our post sale creative team to ensure all creative is executed at the highest level. As part of the Creative Studio you will create our Branded Content style guide and evolve it as necessary, while also being the final say on edits before campaigns and placements go live. We’re looking for someone who is detail-oriented, creatively-minded, and understands our whimsical yet informative tone. Is that you?!
Morning Brew is based in New York City but this role is remote-friendly for all candidates.
What you’ll do:
– Proofread text and correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors
– Verify factual correctness of information, such as dates and statistics
– Check text for style, readability, and adherence to Morning Brew tone and style
– Stay on top of culture to ensure writing and editing is in line with the current moment
– Creating and evolving a Branded-Content specific style guide
– Ensuring placements and work is logically structured
– Working with Branded Content editors to publish campaigns and placements
What makes you qualified:
– Minimum two (2) years as a copy editor
– Advertising agency or media company experience, working with branded content and/or creative advertising
– Excellent copy editing skills
– Ability to manage multiple projects on a tight deadline
– Fluency with online publishing and organizational tools
– Strong written communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
– An absolute love and passion for all the quirks of the English language
