Job Description:
The Learning Commons Coordinator(s) will be directly accountable to the Director of Academic Success and Retention and will be responsible for coordinating and supporting all activities provided through the Zoghby Learning Commons.
The individual will be expected to carry out the duties of this position through positive communication, collaboration, and teamwork while supporting the mission of NWFSC.
- Collaborate with the Associate Director of Tutoring and Academic Intervention Services to ensure all Learning Commons activities are effectively executed.
- Assist in creating marketing and social media strategies to promote the Learning Commons and its events.
- Ensure third-party tutoring and educational technology tools are set up correctly for each term, including scheduling, conducting surveys, gathering data, and supporting students.
- Maintain a positive attitude, contribute to team problem-solving, offer timely solutions, and ensure issues are resolved.
- Support the organization and delivery of student resources, workshops, orientations, and events at the Zoghby Learning Commons.
- Prepare weekly and term-end reports, highlighting any issues or discrepancies to supervisor.
- Manage scheduling and tutoring for Collegiate High School students, ensuring accurate reporting in ConexED.
- Oversee the assessment of Learning Commons activities, ensuring tutoring case reports are accurate and timely.
- Coordinate initial outreach communication from tutors to their respective classes.
- Monitor that all Learning Commons staff activities are conducted professionally and punctually.
- Ensure that staff training is completed on schedule and adheres to CRLA (College Reading & Learning Association) standards.
- Produce training and outreach videos for the Learning Commons to support students, staff, and faculty.
- Work with staff and faculty on student success initiatives, including focus groups and other engagement efforts.
- Complete required annual compliance training.
- Be willing to travel and work at other campus locations as necessary.
- Work to coordinate student activities that connect the missions of the Learning Commons and Raider Student Life.
- Serve as the achievement mentor coordinator ensuring the needs of NWFSC students are met.
- Support the overall mission of the Learning Commons by performing other tasks as needed.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in English, Math, or related field, plus a minimum of two (2) to four (4) years relevant work experience required.
- Ability to assess and understand learning styles.
- Recent tutoring experience in higher education strongly preferred.
- Must possess a high degree of professionalism, integrity, initiative, and tact.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication.
- Highly effective organization and time management skills.
- Flexible demeanor and positive attitude.
- Ability to prioritize work, keep accurate records, and prepare reports.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
