We are currently hiring for the position of:

 

COORDINATOR, INDUSTRY PROGRAMMING (TALENT DEVELOPMENT)

 

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Industry Programming, the Coordinator, Industry Programming (Talent Development) will provide essential administrative support to the Industry Programming team in the planning and execution of select talent development programmes, including TIFF Rising Stars, and other Industry Programming initiatives, as needed.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Liaise with external stakeholders (sponsors, programme partners, participants, guests) for Rising Stars and other talent development programmes, fielding inquiries as needed
  • Track guest invitation list and and assist with collecting materials from participants and guests, ensuring that tracking documents are always up to date for reference by Industry Programming team
  • Coordinate talent development project book with Industry Programming team to ensure inclusion of all guests and participants
  • Assist with drafting copy for talent development participants press release
  • Assist with updating talent development webpages
  • Work closely with Event Production and Venue Liaisons to coordinate logistics for Rising Stars and other select talent development programme sessions, cocktails, dinners and other events, including setup/strike, catering, tech, etc.
  • Compile list of dietary requirements to facilitate catering for talent development participants
  • Develop and distribute itineraries for talent development participants and guests in advance of each programme, and communicate daily call sheets to participants, as needed
  • Provide on-site support for Rising Stars, and other select talent development programmes or Industry initiatives, as needed

 

JOB GRADE & RATE OF PAY:

  • Job Grade: 2
  • $19.89 / Hourly

 

CONTRACT DATES:

  • July 18 – September 16, 2022 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma (in Film Studies or a related area considered an asset)
  • 3-5 years experience in an office environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Precise memory for names, positions, companies and situations
  • Mature personal judgment, exhibiting a high level of professionalism and diplomacy
  • Able to handle difficult situations and people with tact and professionalism
  • Excellent phone manner, communication fluency and interpersonal strengths
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Google Suite, and relational databases (experience with Artifax considered an asset)
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Desire and ability to take initiative and coordinate projects
  • Previous festival or event planning experience considered an asset
  • Fluency in a second language considered an asset
  • Ability to work and respond well in fast-paced and high pressure environments with a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • This position requires being in office on a regular basis, aligning with our Flexible Work from Home Policy.
