Job Description

The Coordinator, Finance is a regular full-time position reporting the Controller.  The position primarily supports the department recording activity in the general ledger, processes revenue and accounts receivable transactions, and aid in distributing financial statements, monthly.  The position also assists in the annual budgeting process for specific departments.  Cross departmental support is a general expectation of all USAV employees. Additional hours may be required to include nights, weekends and holidays. The position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities include but are not necessarily limited to:

  • Contribute to the implementation of various financial policies & procedures.
  • Analyze financials, KPIs and other trends to identify and recommend potential operational efficiencies.
  • Analyze and input financial data to the Controller in compilation of monthly financial statements.
  • Provide oversight and advise in all financial activities relating to assigned programs including, but not limited to: budget creation, approval of all financial transactions, and custom reporting.
  • Provide support and budget performance analysis to assigned programs during semi-annual Performance Financial Review preparation.
  • Serve as the finance liaison for the Marketing, Communications, Creative Services and Indoor Domestic Events departments.
  • Monitor and maintain A/R Aging on a monthly basis.
  • Monitor and maintain A/P dormancy standards (per State of Colorado).
  • Maintain GL records and reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
  • Serve as Finance central point at National Events – responsible for recording daily sales, provide customer service, and reconciling event transactions.
  • Produce monthly credit card reconciliation statements for staff and post to general ledger.
  • Maintain all state sales tax exemption status and records and prepare new filings as needed.
  • Assist with annual audit activities to include preparing documents for auditors.
  • Analyze credit card revenue and create reports from corporate-wide systems.
  • Reconcile deposits, wires, and credit card receipts for bank and basic GL accounts.
  • Report revenue streams from USAV on-site inventory.
  • Conduct routine data entry of invoices, revenues and complete month-end adjustments.
  • Track inventory revenue and reconcile data for annual financial reporting.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree, Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum three year’s working experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Demonstrated experience managing accounts receivable is preferred.
  • Must be able and willing to travel 4 – 6 weeks a year.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well independently or on a team.
  • Ability to maintain and protect confidential information.
  • Possess advanced level skills in Microsoft office products especially excel.
  • Must be able to successfully pass a USAV background screening (prior to hire date).
  • Must successfully complete SafeSport training within two weeks of hire date and remain current.

Salary: $18 – $20/hr.
