What We’re Looking For
Breezeway is hiring an experienced Controller who will be responsible for the accurate and timely financial management of the organization. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing our accounting operations, production of periodic financial reports, payables and receivables, and maintenance of accounting records. In this role, you will work closely with the CEO on budgeting and financial planning and analysis projects and be a cornerstone of our growing finance department.

What You’ll Do
- Oversee and steer all aspects of the finance and internal accounting activities, including interim and year-end financial reporting process, billing, payroll, revenue, and expense analysis/management.
- Provide regular, accurate, and meaningful financial reporting in an easily digestible format to the management team and key stakeholders.
- Provide support to management for financial forecasts, budgeting, and analysis.
- Work with management on budget and report variances.
- Coordinate the preparation of monthly financial statements and reporting for investors and key stakeholders.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Develop budgets and reporting to monitor and enhance the financial performance of each business unit.
- Manage wire processing and cash controls.
- Execute additional controller duties as necessary.

What You’ll Bring
- 5+ years of proven work experience as a Controller, preferably in a SaaS business.
- Progressive career development in corporate accounting.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Detailed understanding of cash flow management, bank reconciliation, and bookkeeping.
- Experience managing month-end / year-end close processes.
- Excellent accounting software and administration skills.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including maintaining financial models.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
