Full-Time Contract Manager
Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Contract Manager to join our team in Nauru. This pivotal role will support the Government of Nauru in enhancing the sustainability, resilience, access, quality, and safety of urban services related to water supply, sanitation, and solid waste management as part of the Nauru Sustainable and Resilient Urban Development Project (SRUDP), which has a duration of approximately 2.67 years (minimum onsite assignment of 9 months per year).
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of contract administration for the SRUDP.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) team.
- Ensure project delivery meets requirements and expectations throughout the lifecycle.
- Oversee the invoicing process and certify contractors’ payment certificates promptly.
- Manage project schedules to ensure timely and budget-compliant completion of activities.
- Administer contracts per the FIDIC Red Book, ensuring compliance with all obligations.
- Facilitate communication among stakeholders, including government agencies and local communities.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
- Provide training and mentorship to local staff in project management and contract administration.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support project goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in contract management for water supply and civil infrastructure projects.
- Willingness to commit to onsite assignments for at least 9 months each year.
- Experience in small island developing states is essential; prior work in a Pacific context is highly desirable.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be willing to relocate and work in Nauru.
