Full-Time Content Specialist
Job Description
The Content Specialist plays a key role in Marketing by helping to create content and ensure it aligns with the business needs of Polen Capital. This role will be responsible for writing and copyediting content that executes our sales and marketing strategy and drives engagement. The successful candidate understands the investment management industry, has experience in content creation and management and demonstrates an unwavering commitment to service excellence. The Content Specialist is part of the Marketing team and reports to the Head of Marketing.
Responsibilities
- Generate high-quality content that is reflective of the Polen brand and voice and strategically connects to our clients
- Develop sales and marketing, educational, and value-add materials for all client channels (intermediary, institutional, and international) and mediums (print & digital media, RFP, etc.)
- Develop a content framework that utilizes efficient writing and purposeful messaging
- Write content for press releases, website, and video productions
- Demonstrate an in-depth comprehension of target audience segments and client journeys, and ensure consistent messaging
- Collaborate with the firm’s analytics, research, marketing, and other teams to develop effective communications for clients and enhance marketing initiatives
- Synthesize complex ideas from investment teams into engaging and accessible written content for a variety of clients for effective delivery and distribution
- Work directly with the investment teams and marketing colleagues to ensure that messaging is consistent with investment team opinions and beliefs
- Produce internal Q&A materials to assist the distribution team in educational and selling efforts
- Develop a deep mastery of Firm culture, capabilities, investment philosophy, and strategies
- Build and maintain strong, positive interpersonal working relationships with key business partners to accomplish team and firmwide goals
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Journalism, Communications, or relevant area
- 3-5 years professional experience in writing and editing in financial services marketing, newsroom or corporate communications
- Outstanding research, written and verbal communication acumen; proven track record as an impactful storyteller
- Keen analytical eye with the ability to identify trends in data and turn them into meaningful insights
- Solid understanding of investment management industry and equity investments preferred
- Excellent organization, execution, and project management capabilities with attention to detail
- Strategic, creative, and critical thinking skills with the ability to work in partnership and prioritize projects as needed
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, results-driven, team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of MS Office and Adobe Suite
