Temporary Content Producer
Job Description
*Starting Mid-September*
At Hearst UK, there’s always more to the story. We’ve created a working environment that encourages everyone to pull together. We never stop looking for brave new ideas. We’ll always try to develop and improve, we trust each other to do our best, and we have fun as we build on our heritage to make history.
Join us as our Content Producer to start the next chapter in your career. The Hearst Institute is where our expert lab team tests hundreds of products, including the latest home appliances, tech and beauty buys, so we can recommend the best out there to our readers.
We’re looking for an experienced writer to join the Hearst Institute, editorial team. You will help transform what our expert lab testers do, into engaging content that also expands Hearst’s online product review and e-commerce offering.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You’ll be writing for Hearst’s flagship titles, including Women’s Health, Men’s Health, Elle, Digital Spy, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, and Good Housekeeping. You’ll be responsible for helping readers understand which products are worth buying – from coffee machines to TVs to moisturisers – and why by writing a series of product roundups and buying guides.
Working closely with the Hearst Institute lab testers to select the right products to include in the online content you create, while also ensuring it’s fully optimised for affiliate links and SEO. You’ll upload it onto our content management systems and track its success.
You will have the opportunity to develop your editing skills, as you’ll help edit individual product reviews for Good Housekeeping.
ABOUT YOU
We’re looking for someone with demonstrable experience of writing online product review content for multiple publications. You will need to have good knowledge of the latest products within the home appliances, beauty, wellness, and tech space, as well as be aware of SEO core principles and best practice. Good knowledge of affiliate linking is also beneficial.
You’ll be organised, accurate, and have a strong writing ability. You’ll be able to transform product test results into engaging, jargon-free copy at speed, and be able to adapt your tone and style of writing to suit different publications. Experience editing, using content management systems and photoshop is also desirable.
WHAT WE OFFER
At Hearst UK, you can choose from a huge range of perks and benefits that can help you learn well, work well and live well including:
- 25 days’ holiday (with the option to buy up to 5 additional holiday days)
- Flexible working – we’re happy to discuss options!
- Summer working hours
- Discounted gym membership
- Healthcare cash plan
- Spend a charity day with your favourite good cause
- Life assurance and pension scheme
- Regular socials and more!
There’s more to your story than you imagine. And the next chapter begins right here..
