Full-Time Content Marketing Manager

Sora Schools – Posted by AnnaSora Anywhere

Job Description

Sora Schools is looking for a Content Marketing Manager to support our growing marketing team with thoughtful and on-brand content across multiple channels. This is a writing- and communications-focused position that reports to the Director of Brand and Growth Marketing. Core responsibilities revolve around writing and content strategy: planning a social media calendar, creating content for our blog, and editing landing page copy. Our marketing team is small but collaborative, putting our heads together to create engaging, innovative campaigns (just like our school!).
Note that this is a fully remote position (located anywhere in the U.S.) with an annual salary of $70,000 – $90,000/year, based on experience. We’re excited to build a team with a wide variety of perspectives and backgrounds, and encourage candidates to apply even if they don’t have experience in all of the following areas.
#LI-Remote

What you’ll do:

    • Be the go-to writer for the marketing team, helping to make our brand voice more consistent and cohesive across platforms
    • Create strategies to authentically grow Sora’s social media following, and drive lasting brand and business results
    • Plan and manage the development, posting, and ongoing optimization of Sora’s social media calendar, with a core focus on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and TikTok
    • Write, edit, and review work to ensure content is being disseminated properly on all channels
    • Ensure clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy is used on the website
    • Work closely with PPC marketing manager to ensure landing page templates and associated campaigns have clear, consistent messaging
    • Define the editorial process for Sora –– identifying content topics and opportunities, scoping out blog posts, and delivering world-class articles
    • Develop and maintain an editorial content calendar that addresses the needs of our customer-facing teams and the seasonality of our admissions
    • Develop content that supports all stages of the admissions funnel, helping drive awareness, nurture new leads, and ultimately convert leads
    • Work with marketing, admissions, and design to incorporate content across Sora communications, including email, social, collateral, and more
    • Create and manage content for Sora’s web presence with an emphasis on web conversion performance and driving traffic

What we’re looking for:

    • An exceptional communicator who can write and edit clean, sharp, creative messaging aligned with our brand voice
    • Proven content development and strategy experience across digital channels (potentially including blog content, social media, web copy, PR, and more)
    • Ability to operate both holistically and tactically — mapping out content months in advance while keeping a meticulous eye on today’s deliverable
    • An expert juggler with an ability to ask the right questions and prioritize accordingly
    • Good time management skills with an adherence to deadlines
    • Enthusiasm for thinking outside the box, trying new things, and taking the road less traveled

Bonus points:

    • Extensive SEO experience
    • Analytics-savvy, used to using tools like Google Analytics to plan and measure
    • Experience with content management systems such as WordPress
    • Experience working on user journeys or audience segmentation
    • Education and/or edtech experience
    • PR familiarity
