Full-Time Construction Engineering Technician III – NEW HIGHER PAY!
Job Description
- Perform advanced technical engineering work supporting our engineers and other professionals in areas including construction, materials testing, design, surveys, and program/regulatory compliance.
- Conduct compliance/code inspections.
- Collect and analyze field data.
- Perform materials testing.
- Review, modify, and/or design plan.
- Analyze engineering-related data, products, and functions.
- Supervise direct reports including performing/supervising several administrative functions.
- Serve as survey crew leader.
- Independently direct activities of other survey crewmembers in collecting field data on complex surveys.
- Surveying experience using surveying equipment, instruments, levels, data collectors, and GPS equipment.
- Analytical skills and experience interpreting highway construction plans.
- Strong applied math skills in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.
- Experience planning, developing, scheduling, tracking, and completing projects independently or with limited supervision.
- You work best in a team environment to complete assignments.
- Strong commitment to safety and leading by example.
- Ability to work safely in an outside environment with exposure to hazards present on construction sites including traffic, heights, weather extremes, and traversing rough/uneven terrain.
- Solid verbal and written communications skills to communicate in a clear, concise manner.
- Wisdom to make independent decisions using sound engineering judgment.
- Computer skills using laptops/tablets in record keeping of field data.
- Agility to perform moderate physical activity (walking, climbing, kneeling, and standing).
- General knowledge of surveying methods and procedures
- Driver’s License
- Safety shoes are required.
- Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology, Survey Technology, or a related field, and
- 3+ years of relevant experience; or
- An equivalent combination of training and experience.
