Job Description
As we head into our 2nd season with Principal Conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali, we have an exciting opportunity to join our busy team at the Philharmonia as our Concerts & Recordings Manager.
About you
With demonstrable experience of concert or cultural event management, you will be adept at working with senior stakeholders and managing a varied workload. Bringing your wealth of knowledge of the working practices of a professional orchestra, you will play an important role in the planning and implementation of the Philharmonia Orchestra’s London Season of concerts at the Royal Festival Hall and of the Recording activity of the Orchestra.
Required Skills & Qualities
Essential
- Proven skills in cultural events management
- Excellent organisational skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Previous budgeting experience
- Ability to work on own initiative and to problem solve
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
Desirable
- Proven skills in concert management
- Previous employment within the classical music sector
- Knowledge of the working practices of a professional orchestra
- Knowledge of the orchestral repertoire
