Full-Time Compliance Specialist
Job Description
With direction from the Director of Compliance, the Compliance Specialist ensures that
compliance programs, initiatives, and operational functions are seamlessly carried out across their
assigned departments of the organization, which may include Cultivation, Product Manufacturing, Retail,
Delivery, Advertising, Community Outreach, HR, ect. Works directly with specific department managers
and supervisors to identify, recommend, and implement necessary operational changes based on
findings, incident reports, audit results, changes to regulations, guidance from state regulators, or
identified efficiencies/improvements in operational procedures. Develops the creation and implementation
of compliant operational processes, documents, programs, tools & checklists, training programs and
audits to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and requirements, including but not limited to
935 CMR 500, all applicable sub-regulations, and federal OSHA standards. Assist with the creation of
proper training programs, and help communicate and revise as needed to provide employees with the
means to succeed with minimal impact to core operations. The position will be a combination of remote
and on-site work (ex: 3 days on-site, 2 days remote).

Duties:
● Serve as a compliance resource for staff and managers.
● Develop and assist with company-wide plans, programs, and implement compliant policies and
procedures in alignment with all governmental, safety and health rules, federal and local
requirements, and state regulations for ensuring a compliant, safe, and healthy work
environment.
● Assist in developing, in partnership with department heads, standard operating procedures
(“SOPs”), internal processes, and Training Programs for all staff
● Assist in delivering all Training Programs/Materials as needed, including Required Compliance
Training
● Organize, track, and maintain the company repository for Compliance Documentation
● Assist with incident investigations to analyze cause to develop procedures or controls to prevent
recurrence and ensure proper reporting requirements with appropriate departments.
● Assist with the Implementation of proper corrective actions in response to an incident
● Partake in regular & random internal audits of facility operations and prepare reports to senior
management
● Help maintain a culture of preparedness for facility inspections, government regulatory
investigations, and external audits by ensuring all operations are held to both regulatory and
internal compliance standards.
● Review government/CCC investigation/inspection findings and assist with preparing and
implementing corrective action plans
● Notify the Compliance leadership with all issues of concern and lead/assist in the process of
resolution
Qualifications
In order to be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
● Must be 21+ years old
● Must be able to pass a Background Check
● Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience preferred
● 2+ Years’ experience in Cannabis Operations
● Proficient Communication Skills
● Effective Problem-solving
● Possess the ability to Assess & Interpret
● Demonstrate Critical Thinking Ability
● Strong sense of Integrity/Ethics
● Ability to work remotely, requiring a self-motivated, organized mindset
