Full-Time Compliance Manager (Advice)

About the team:

We are looking for a Compliance Manager (Advice) to join our Compliance team based at our Chatham office and provide clear and practical advice and guidance to the business in relation to new and existing FCA conduct regulatory requirements and the impact of business change.

What you will be doing:

You will contribute to the achievement of the Group’s business goals in what continues to be a rapidly changing conduct regulatory environment by delivering practical and clear guidance on how to effectively meet new and existing conduct regulatory requirements. You will proactively help to ensure that the business implements effective systems and controls.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice and proactive challenge to ensure regulatory and conduct compliance
  • Overseeing the process for managing potential conflicts of interests, including; reviewing, reporting and tracking associated management actions arising from declarations
  • Writing and presenting compliance reports including summaries of appropriate papers issued by the regulator which identify potential impact on the business
  • Supporting the development of the compliance culture of the organisation by ensuring the company platforms, policies, processes, systems and controls
  • Being a professional source of knowledge in the regulatory and conduct environment

This role will involve occasional travel between the Group’s Chatham, London and subsidiary offices

In return for your commitment:  

We offer a base salary dependent on experience starting at £45,000 – £55,000 and a competitive benefits package including:

Could you be the one?

We are looking for talented individuals who have the experience/knowledge and qualifications set out below:

  • Previous experience as below:
    • In a compliance or conduct risk role within the financial services industry
    • Liaising with senior stakeholders in respect of regulatory change or advice
  • Knowledge of conduct and regulatory environment is essential, as is having working and practical knowledge of the FCA handbooks and their application in practice
  • Skills in respect of writing and presenting reports and papers are essential
