Full-Time Compliance Manager
Job Description
- Monitor and measure financial constraints and other compliance requirements important to NCDOT.
- Maintain trackers to ensure internal (policies and procedures), legal, and legislative compliance requirements are satisfied.
- Have focus areas that may include debt financing, public-private partnerships, construction, and financial performance.
- Work closely with many functional areas across NCDOT.
- Work independently and collaboratively.
- Prepare tables, charts, and visualizations for financial presentations.
- Assist with development of relevant internal and external dashboards.
- Contribute to the review of materials for new debt issuances to ensure accuracy and full disclosure.
- Thorough knowledge of government accounting, compliance, and reporting requirements.
- Thorough knowledge of NCDOT programs and capital projects.
- Experience interpreting and analyzing policies, procedures, and financial data.
- Experience preparing tables, charts, and visualizations financial presentations.
- Computer skills in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Power BI.
- May require Public Accountant certification.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting; or in business administration, finance, public administration, or a related field with 18 semester hours of accounting coursework, and
- 6+ years of accounting experience in the preparation and review of interpretive or analytical accounting, financial statements, and reports, and
- 2+ years of management experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
