Full-Time Compliance Coordinator

Job Description

Position Summary:          The Compliance Coordinator will be responsible for managing and executing all administrative functions that take place within Compliance, with a focus on recordkeeping, Agent Registrations, standard operating procedures, audit records, inspection preparation, and training.

 

Responsibilities:             

  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date and compliance and company digital and hard copy files, records, trackers and documentation, and Metrc staff lists, including but not limited to monthly and annual audit records, visitor logs, inventory waste logs, agent registration accounting reports, and background checks.
  • Provides assistance in the onboarding process which includes activities such as processing background checks and Agent Registration, disseminating and collecting paperwork, ensuring document quality assurance, Agent Registration renewal applications, tracking financial costs, and communication with Agents and other stakeholders.
  • Manages sensitive and confidential matters like compliance violations, incident reporting documents and action items, personnel matters and organizational changes, safeguarding the security and confidentiality of information, data and files.
  • Provides general administrative support such as preparing correspondence, forms and reports, arranging meetings, composing regular correspondence, processing confidential reports and documents, filing electronic and hard copy, tracking deadlines, and recording meeting minutes as needed.
  • Supports training activities, including but not limited to compliance trainings, standard operating procedures, mandatory trainings, and onboarding initiatives, including the compilation and reproduction of training records, scheduling, training materials, tracking of training records, and preparation of documents for state inspections
  • Supports company standard operating procedures (SOPs) and regulatory requirements through activities including the reproduction, dissemination, communication, of SOPs.
  • Coordinates activities and action items relating to state and local inspections and audits, including but not limited to ongoing License inspections and inventory audits.
  • Supports and coordinates other Compliance and Human Resource duties, as needed.

 

 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

 

Minimum Education:     Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university, preferably in Business, Business Administration, or equivalent degree.

 

Minimum Experience:  

  • 4+ years’ experience in an administrative capacity, preferably Compliance/Government Relations, managing department administrative records.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must be detailed oriented, well organized, and able to proactively communicate
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Excellent analytical and reporting skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills specifically with Word,Excel, and SharePoint.

 

Preferred Experience:  

  • Relevant experience in the licensed Massachusetts cannabis industry desired.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to listen well and communicate effectively orally and in writing with various audiences.
