Full-Time Community Advocate for Lede
Job Description
Lede is building the most approachable platform for independent publishers to connect with their communities and create sustainable businesses — and we need a Community Advocate to help us.
We’re not looking for rockstars, zombies, or magicians. We’re looking for an energetic, thoughtful individual who’s excited to be part of our mission to help independent publishers launch and grow their business and engage in community with other publishers.
The Community Advocate is a critical strategic role at Lede and since no detail is too small – be sure to include “Welcome to the world of tomorrow!” in your cover letter to be considered. This empathetic, engaging, and organized self-starter will help us build this community from the ground up and foster existing publisher relationships by working closely with them to understand the vision and needs of their publications. Our growing community of publishers needs someone to be their voice on our team, and we need someone to help our publishers learn how to use the new and existing features of Lede to meet their goals. The Community Advocate (hopefully that’s you!) will fill those all important shoes.
Lede is a startup backed by The Alley Group, an agency with more than a decade of experience working with some of the largest publishers and non-profits in the industry. It’s the best of both worlds: we can move quickly, guided by our own product priorities and offer equity to members of the founding team, and we have the support of our parent company for operations so we can focus on what matters most—building an innovative product with a thriving community.
Lede is an equal opportunity employer and we seek to increase diversity in the tech industry. We encourage applications from women, Black people, indigenous people, people of color, LGBTQIA+ people, people with disabilities, and other communities traditionally underrepresented in this field.
