The purpose of this position is to support the achievement of strategic goals and deliverables for a technology client headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area.
We are seeking an experienced Communications Specialist to join our growing Americas Consulting team. This role will be responsible for amplifying and highlighting the amazing work we all do within the project team, leading multiple client projects concurrently with oversight from other project leadership
.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  
Serve as point of contact for client on workplace design-related communications initiatives
Develop regular communications and the related communications strategy for all teams within workplace design (i.e., Workplace Research, Office & Lab Design Standards, Design Delivery, CAFM Technology, and OpenArts)
Manage and support weekly priorities of other project team members also involved on communications projects
Drive forward future of work conversations and knowledge sharing with the client
Work directly with client to develop high profile executive memo’s and newsletters
Supervise and coordinate regular team knowledge sharing series (i.e., monthly sharing of “cool work”, biannual research summits, weekly media recaps)
Maintain internal and business-facing knowledge sharing databases (i.e., SharePoint, team Wiki’s, etc.)
Consolidating disparate sources of data (research data, client data, benchmarking data, etc.) and storytelling that data to internal and external team stakeholders
Developing new tools and methodologies to support the streamlining of developing of and reporting on communications
Developing strategic recommendations and building consensus with senior leaders
Traveling to client sites across the U.S. (up to 50% at peak periods)
 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. Provides informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers throughout course of leadership role on projects. May lead project teams and/or plan and supervise assignments of lower level employees.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university. Minimum 7+ years of related experience.
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information.
FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE
Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles.
REASONING ABILITY 
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex documents. Ability to solve problems involving several options in situations. Requires advanced analytical and quantitative skills.
 
OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES 
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace Products. Highly collaborative in a team environment. Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service.
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY  
Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause short-term impact to department.
