Full-Time Commercial Administrator
Job Description
Those huge small victories
We are the highest Ofsted-rated provider in the country for special education and care. Our teams are fulfilled by the idea of making even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things. We are looking for someone who can passionately represent Witherslack Group’s visions, aims and objectives and can build strong, long lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders through robust administration of our contracts with local authorities.
For children with complex needs the level of care and education we provide must go above and beyond. That’s what drives us here at Witherslack Group. With our high staff-to-child ratio and in-house clinical teams, we’re proud to have a reputation for excellence and market leading OFSTED ratings. Our Commercial team aims to reach and impact more people than ever before with what we can offer young people.
Get out what you put in
We are looking for someone with an eye for detail, who can work proactively to identify opportunities to increase contractual compliance and completion. This is a new role that sits with our Commercial Team. Day to day, you’ll be responsible for issuing and receiving contracts from local authorities and reporting on contractual compliance and completion. You will coordinate between our team of Partnerships Managers, finance experts and key local authority stakeholders. You will ensure that underpinning every child’s placement, there is an appropriately signed and dated contract in place.
As a Commercial Administrator, you’ll have worked in a similar role before, perhaps within the SEN and/or care sector, or with transferable skills and the appetite to learn. This role requires close partnership working across the schools, homes and local authority by support, liaison and negotiation so experience of relationship management is a must.
What we do for you
We know you’re going to do great things. For your hard work and commitment, we reward you with the best salary and benefits package in the care sector. With us, you’ll get to make a genuine difference to the lives of our young people – plus you’ll get:
• Salary: Base salary of £22,000 – £25,000
• Training: Ongoing professional development.
• Holiday: You’ll work hard at WG, so you’ll be rewarded with 7 weeks’ holiday
• Flexible benefits package: meaning you can increase/decrease your holiday allowance, pension and life insurance – check out our benefits here
• Wellbeing: a host of wellbeing tools and advice including employee assistance
• Medical cover so you can claim back the cost of things like an opticians or dentist appointment and a host of high-street discounts
• Beautiful working environments with the very best facilities
• A recommend a friend scheme that offers a £2,000 bonus every time
Bring your whole-self to work
Here at Witherslack Group, we celebrate everyone’s differences as that’s what makes us the best at what we do. Our young people come from all walks of life, diverse backgrounds and with different needs – and our workforce reflects that diversity, so that our teams can engage, encourage and inspire our young people to be themselves. We’ll give you the chance to build an exciting career in a fast-growing organisation, where you’re free to achieve your potential. Here’s what we need from you;
• A proactive approach to ensuring 100% contractual compliance and resolving contract issues
• Keen eye for detail and accuracy
• A people person – someone who cares, is empathetic and can translate Witherslack Group’s ambition to provide aspirational futures through inspirational education and care
• Ideally an understanding of children’s SEN and/or care placements and experience of commissioning/contracts/procurement within the sector, or a comparable role with transferable skills
• Understanding of the local authority environment and ability to work within this environment to meet Witherslack Group’s objectives
• Strong IT and analytical skills. Able to produce high quality reports and insights.
• Tenacity and drive to meet or exceed targets
