About Your Role
RealtyMogul is looking for an AWS Cloud Engineer with significant Drupal 7 custom development experience. Our tech stack is increasingly migrating to React and Cloud solutions (AWS) but we also still build/maintain portions of our application in custom Drupal 7. Our ideal candidate has strong Drupal 7 custom development experience (within last 5 years) and has demonstrated AWS cloud engineer and api design/implementation experience. The right candidate is passionate about working collaboratively to architect solutions and writing elegant code to help solve complex business problems. The right candidate is seeking to join a small and experienced development team, is eager to learn and also share their knowledge, and understands the importance of code review, unit testing, and agile software development principles. While we are located in Los Angeles, CA this role can be remote. Must be authorized to work in the US.
What You’ll Do
- Build custom modules and help maintain current back end application built in Drupal 7 supporting increased automation and throughput of investors and real estate deals
- Help lead effort to decouple and deconstruct the Drupal application and migrate to Cloud services
- Architect and build solutions in the Cloud (AWS) that solve business needs and support better scalability and stability
- Simplify complex operational workflows and tasks related to selling and managing securities with Cloud technologies
- Collaborate with Product Management and other business stakeholders as necessary to implement the best technical solutions
- Provide key input on future architecture as our tech stack and business evolves
Who You Are
- AWS Cloud Experience:
- Experience managing files securely in AWS S3
- Experience with exposing access to AWS resources such as through AWS API gateway
- Experience with data synchronization between a cloud datastore such as Dynamodb and Drupal
- Experience with workflow management such as AWS Step Functions
- Experience with CI/CD, such as AWS CodePipeline, is a plus
- Experience with application messaging bus such as AWS EventBridge or SNS is a plus
- Experience with DataPipeline is a plus
- Experience with data modeling including single table design is a plus
- Drupal Experience:
- You have expert Drupal 7 experience, including form API
- You have strong experience with the Views, VBO, and Features modules
- You have strong experience creating synchronous (Drupal batch API) and asynchronous (cron / queue) bulk reports
- You have experience with PHP above version 5, OOD, Design Patterns, MySQL, and Git
- You are comfortable with Unix/Linux command line including Drush
- You enjoy working within a small and talented team and are comfortable sharing your technical opinions to drive to the best outcome
- You can take ownership of a product or feature from requirements to production, with minimal guidance and supervision, in a two week sprint environment
- Experience with integrating with Salesforce is a plus
- Experience with Restful module in Drupal 7 is a plus
- Experience with React is a plus
- Understanding of nginx and docker is a plus
- Genuine interest in Commercial Real Estate or Finance is highly desirable
