Full-Time Clinic Assistant Specialist

Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Help register patients for clinic. Weigh patients and check patients’ blood pressure.

· Attend to patients’ need as may be required during clinic hours.

Assist with blood collection during clinic and off clinic hours.

· Assist with sputum collection during clinic hours.

. Assist with administering direct observed therapy.

· Perform other related duties as required

 

SKILLS:

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of infectious disease transmission risks, basic knowledge of contact investigations. Will have knowledge of working with different races, ethnicities and minorities. Know how to deal with culture sensitive issues and be able to help patients. Must have empathy and relate well to immigrant and refugee population.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience working as phlebotomist. Experience working with diverse population.

Bilingual preferred.

 

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Minimum of High School Diploma. Current Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant Certification.

 

SALARY:

Starting at $25/ hour. Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
