Salary Range: $15.87 – $18.67
Essential Functions and Objectives:
Supports individuals, teams and/or departments through facilitating and regulating a series of activities and work streams. Carries out specific tasks based on established procedures, to ensure a broader set of priorities and
objectives are met. Primary focus on execution of assigned tasks in a specific area of responsibility, with a non-technical scope and a high degree of customer service.
Provide excellent customer service on behalf of Denver Public School City-Wide Marching Band Program (DCMB) to DPS students, parents, and community partners. Oversee , choreograph, and instruct colorguard marching and dance routines. Catalogue basic organizational details including colorguard attendance and student data along with the colorguard flags, uniforms, and equipment. Work with the DCMB Director with community parent communications and be a positive public face for the DCMB organization.
– Choreograph dance and colorguard/auxillary routines to visually accent marching band music program. – Teach colorguard/auxillary routines to students – Organize and maintain colorguard equipment inventory. – Maintain colorguard uniform inventory including cleaning and repair. – Size and fit students for uniforms. – Take and organize weekly student attendance, student contact numbers, and information. – Communicate with parents via emails, phone calls, and in person regarding students attendance, progress, and DCMB events. – Communicate with the DCMB.org webmaster keeping the DCMB Facebook page up to date. – Assist in set-up / tear down rehearsal room. – Attend and support all DCNB parades and events
Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:
– One (1) or more years of prior experience is required.
– Effective time management and organizational skills.
– Effective communication skills.
– Strong attention to detail.
– Effectively handle multiple demands and competing deadlines.
– The ability to take responsibility for one’s own performance.
– Work collaboratively with others on a team.
– High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.
– Must be highly organized, energetic, and customer service oriented. Needs to be proficient in Microsoft Office and Google applications as well as experience with choreography skills in dance and/or colorguard.
Education Requirements:
– High School Diploma/GED is required.
– Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
