HumRRO is seeking a Chief Scientist with an emphasis in large scale assessment and psychometrics to provide strong and unique technical contributions to proposals and projects, to mentor and coach others, and to support expansion of existing contracts and development of new business. The Chief Scientist is also responsible for directing or assisting in the direction of research projects. Serving as a project director entails responsibility for the technical quality, timeliness, and budget for research projects.
The position requires mastery of a wide range of theory and practices in educational measurement, psychometrics, and psychological measurement. The Chief Scientist will develop or apply theories and new advanced technical knowledge to solve unique and challenging problems. This individual will be responsible for developing plans and conducting research; working directly with clients; directing projects; performing technically difficult, controversial, or sensitive work; identifying business opportunities; participating in networking activities; maintaining a significantly visible professional reputation through presentation and publications; and building personal contacts with high-ranking persons from outside HumRRO.
The Chief Scientist reports to a Manager.
Candidates should have a doctoral degree in Educational Measurement, I-O psychology or a closely related discipline, and a minimum of 15-20 years post-academic research experience. The individual should have a strong professional reputation and should also exhibit evidence of original, significant, and recognized contributions to psychometrics, large scale assessment, or I-O psychology.
