The Position
Girl Scouts of Alaska seeks a dynamic leader to serve as its next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Partnering with the organization’s Board of Directors, the CEO provides leadership, strategic direction, and vision for the achievement of the organization’s mission – to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Building from the solid foundation of a distinguished organizational reputation, the incoming leader will have the opportunity to expand the organization’s visibility in Alaska and access to Girl Scouting for the next generation of girls. The CEO will embody the Girl Scout Law and serve as a role model and fierce supporter for staff, volunteers, and girls from all family, community and economic backgrounds.
The Organization
For over 70 years, Girl Scouts of Alaska (GSAK) has been the preeminent organization serving the interests of girls in the region. Girl Scouts of Alaska has a current membership of more than 1400 girls, 600 valued adult volunteers and a staff of 25 full-time and 30 seasonal employees. Girl Scouts of Alaska serves girls in 90 communities south of the 63rd parallel. All Girl Scouting program and activities – from camping to computing, arts to engineering, service projects to field trips – are designed to challenge and prepare girls for a future of leadership and achievement.

Application Process The salary range is $125,000 and $150,000 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Girl Scouts of Alaska provides competitive benefits.
