Full-Time Chief Engineer
Job Description
This position will be the primary contact for technical needs, including:
- Audio over IP-based studios
- Maintain and repair Nautel transmitter, BE transmitters
- Microwave data link / STL systems connecting studio with towers
- Windows Workstations and servers.
- Nexgen automation
- Broadcast studios
- Network systems
- Maintain all broadcast technology and equipment for the station
- Installs and tests new systems and technical infrastructure for the station
- Travel to remote transmitter sites
- Maintain remote transmitter sites
- Responds to off air emergency
- Ensure that our broadcast signal continues without interruption and complies with FCC regulation
- Maintain user workstations, apply updates, repairs as needed
- Proactively identify potential issues and develop and implement plans to address and resolve potential problems
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least one (1) year of radio broadcast engineering experience.
- General IP network experience.
- Windows administration experience
- Office 365 experience
- Server 2012/2016/2019 administration
- Active directory management
- Must be able to drive, insurable driving record
- Lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, roof work, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Wheatstone console experience.
