Job Description:
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare chemicals for Chemistry I & II and Organic Chemistry I & II laboratories.
- Set-up, clean, and maintain all chemicals, instruments, and equipment for all Chemistry laboratories.
- Coordinate disposal of chemical wastes.
- Coordinate inventory of all chemicals in stock room and storage rooms.
- Maintain Safety and Data Sheet (SDS) files for all chemicals in stock.
- Manage ordering of laboratory equipment and supplies as needed.
- As a part of the college’s risk management tool, annual mandatory compliance training is required.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties assigned.
- Position requires daily travel between the Niceville and Fort Walton Beach campuses.

Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of B.S. in Chemistry or related field.
- Experience with preparation of chemicals.
- Ability to manage multiple duties.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- Must have valid driver’s license.
- Employment contingent on passing background investigation
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with OSHA standards for laboratory and EPA standards for waste disposal.
