SALARY: $28,837-$41,268

Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide leadership to the athletic program in the development of the cheerleading program.
- Recruit, coach, and maintain a team of student-athletes to a level that ensures the cheer program is robust and consistently competitive on national level.
- Schedule routine practices throughout the academic year.
- Conduct cheer camps/clinics for the purposes of promotion, fundraising, and recruitment.
- Participate in all home basketball games, all away conference basketball games, and post-season tournaments.
- Travel with the cheer team to all games and community events.
- Ensure the cheerleading program is actively engaged in multiple community events throughout the year.
- Develop and manage the cheerleading operating budget effectively.
- Provide administrative oversight for fundraising opportunities for the cheer program, as well as assist the Athletic Department and College Foundation in a variety of fundraising initiatives.
- Know and abide by all NWF State College, FCSAA, and NJCAA policies and procedures. Support all policies, procedures, and divisions/interpretations rendered by these agencies.
- Maintain professional demeanor and being a positive role-model for cheer team members.
- Monitor academic progress of student-athletes and work to assure the successful rate of cheerleading graduates is commensurate with other NWF State College students and athletic programs.
- Coordinate textbook logistics for all student-athletes.
- Collaborate with the Associate Director of Student Success Navigation on admission requirements for all student-athletes.
- Process transcript and class schedule requests for coaches and student-athletes.
- Schedule Florida Civic Literacy Exams for all student-athletes.
- Assist the Student Success Department with essential functions involving Fall and Spring Commencement Ceremonies.
- Effectively represent NWFSC at various campus events, community events, college fairs, schools, and business in-state and out-of-state as directed in a professional and highly knowledgeable manner.
- Provide tours to prospective students and student-athletes, as well as other visitors on the Niceville Campus.
- Play an active role in student recruitment events and initiatives as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned. As a part of the College’s risk management tool annual mandatory compliance training is required

Qualifications
- Associates of Arts degree or Associates of Science degree is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in physical education, sports management, education, communications, or other related field is required.
- Two years of college/university or high school cheerleading coaching experience (head coach or assistant) is required.
- Work experience within a higher education setting preferred.
- Demonstrated excellence in written and oral communication.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
