Job Description
Pentathlon GB is the National Governing Body for Modern Pentathlon and its various multi-sport formats. It is an exciting time for the sport, with the Senior European Championships taking place in 2019, the new Laser Run format in its infancy at The University of Bath and the Tokyo Olympics only 2 years away. There now exists the opportunity for a CEO to join the organisation and to provide the leadership required to help drive and develop the sport with these opportunities in mind.
The sport faces a challenging but exciting period as it strives to continue to grow, modernise and maintain the scope of the organisation to maximise income streams. The CEO will be the lead executive officer responsible for delivering the organisational vision, mission and strategy agreed with the Pentathlon GB Board. Priorities in the next 2 years include overseeing the success of the World Class Programme, the hosting of the Senior European Championships in 2019 and ensuring financial sustainability of the organisation.
The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills and experience of managing a large portfolio of work and staff through periods of change. Experience working within the sports sector is desirable. They will be able to demonstrate an empathy for the needs of the local delivery network and proven management, commercial and financial experience. The ideal candidate will have a dynamic, forward thinking, professional approach and will be a problem solver. Flexible hours may be considered
