Denver International Airport (DEN) is seeking two highly qualified Central Utility Plant (CUP) Supervisor’s to provide expertise, leadership, and mentoring to a growing team of CUP Operators and Building Engineers engaged in the operation, maintenance, construction, and repair of CUP related hydronic equipment and systems. The starting salary range for this position is $97,000-110,000/year, based on experience and education. Location
In this position, you can expect to work 4 days a week, 10 hours a day. The shift will be either be day or swing shift, Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday. This role is all on site at Denver International Airport, 8500 Pena Blvd. Denver, CO 80249.
This position responds to afterhours calls or emergency calls outside of normal scheduled or business hours and may be required to be on-call to address emergent needs.

Key Responsibilities include: · Reviews, develops, and/or modifies work plans, methods, and procedures, determines work priorities, and develops work schedules to provide adequate staff coverage for the CUP · Maintain the safe and efficient operation of the central plant including boilers, chillers, cooling towers and associated equipment. Oversee CUP equipment repairs and maintenance activities on equipment including lubrication, inspection, replacement of parts, and plant related work activities · Utilize the Building Automation System (BAS) to keep accurate computerized records of activities, time, and materials required (training provided). Performs shift expectations completion and documentation including maintaining the engineering log · Start up, regulate, repair, monitor, and shut down Central Utility Plant equipment. Monitor meters, gauges, and computerized controls to ensure that equipment operates safely and within established limits. Use sophisticated electrical and electronic test equipment when servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and monitoring heating, cooling, and ventilation systems · Resolves problems, mediates conflicts encountered during daily operations, determines appropriate solutions, and promotes teamwork. Encourages regular communication and informs staff of relevant business issues and their impact on the organization. · Develops the performance enhancement plan, documents performance, provides performance feedback, formally evaluates the work of the employee, and provides reward and recognition for proper and efficient performance. Develops and implements training and development plans and opportunities for subordinate staff · Maintains CUP systems records for all maintenance, repairs, and/or installation work completed. Develops, recommends, and establishes equipment maintenance schedule. Implements safety standards and develops procedures to ensure compliance · Review, develop, oversee, and monitor all Water Treatment Chemical applications pertaining to large-size cooling towers, chillers & hot water boilers · Participate in safety program, educational opportunities, and job specific training · Documents causes for disciplinary action, initiates letters of reprimand, and makes formal recommendations for disciplinary action. Responds to formal and informal employee grievances and prepares written responses. Other duties as assigned

About You |
Our ideal candidate has some or all the following experience, skills, and characteristics: · Strong leadership and communication skills · At least 2-3 year of Experience as a CUP Supervisor · 1-2 years of demonstrated Aviation Maintenance experience · Experience using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems at a CUP of comparable in size of DEN · Certifications in Boiler Operator Class A or B, Boilermaker Supervisor Certificate, steam-fitting, and/or steam and hot water a plus
Required Minimum Qualifications
· Education requirement: Graduation from high school or the possession of a GED, HiSET or TASC Certificate · Experience Requirement: Four (4) years of experience in journey-level skilled trades or in facility maintenance operations · Education/Experience Equivalency: A combination of appropriate education and experience may be substituted for the minimum education and experience requirements · Requires a valid Driver’s License at the time of application · Requires a Stationary Engineer License at the time of application AND either Refrigeration Class A supervisor or Steam and Hot Water Supervisor Certification · Licenses and certifications must be kept current as a condition of employment
