Category Coordinator
As a member of the Merchandising Division, reporting to a Category Manager, this position is accountable for the following:
- Provide support to Category Management by conducting in depth product analysis, provide detailed analytical reports and make recommendations based on research;
- Coordinate NLC’s promotional planner through ePAC (electronic Promotional Application Calendar);
- Create and maintain product planograms (store shelf display charts based on product profitability margins and sales volumes);
- Communicate information regarding new products and merchandising instructions to stores;
- Correspond with suppliers on new product applications, de-listings, and promotional plans; Develop and maintain close working relationships with internal customers and the industry to confirm and maintain SKU related information.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- University degree in Business or Economics;
- Minimum three (3) years experience in retail/packaged goods industry;
- Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills;
- Able to prioritize and meet deadlines;
- Thorough knowledge of MS Office;
- Experience in an IBM AS/400 mainframe environment;
- Experience with Business Intelligence software would be preferred.
