Full-Time Case Manager at Compass Broadview
Job Description
ABOUT THE POSITION: Provide trauma-informed case management services designed to prevent homelessness and stabilize housing for residents. This includes assessment, information and referral, goal setting, direct advocacy, cooperative case planning, and coordination of services. The Case Manager will assist and empower residents to make necessary connections with community and providers to stabilize their lives. This is a unionized position, represented by Local 8 of the Office and Professional Employees International Union (OPEIU).
ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Compass Broadview is a new program which opened to residents in March 2019. This building has 58 units to house individuals and families. There are units set aside for families who have been experiencing homelessness, other units for qualified applicants at 30% and 50% below AMI. Services help to resolve barriers and to enhance strengths the residents possess. Onsite case management, community engagement and partnerships are a priority of this program.

LOCATION: Broadview neighborhood in North Seattle, WA
REPORTS TO: Program Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
SCHEDULE: Tuesday-Saturday 9am-5:30pm with occasional weekends/evenings as needed and staff meeting Wednesdays 10am-12pm
SALARY RANGE: $18.58 (Level 1) or $20.09 (Level 2 MSW) per hour
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE • A Bachelor’s degree required, in human services or psychology, a plus. Master’s degree preferred in social work or a related field.
• A minimum of 1-year experience in case management experience, desired.
• 2+ years’ experience working in a human services setting related to housing and homelessness, desired.
• Or relevant work experience, certificate and/or equivalent continuing professional development or education.
• Demonstrated familiarity with issues of homelessness, mental illness, substance abuse, sexual assault, and/or domestic violence, required.
