Our Impact Partners team is committed to finding the best funding opportunities for our nonprofit clients and prospects. This team is highly visible across our sales and leadership departments; they positively impact our ability to support the organizations we serve (and the communities they serve). The Fundraising & Development Associate will provide proactive, responsive, and effective support, working to advance the fundraising and donor relations efforts of the organization. This individual will have the opportunity to gain skills in research, data management, sales, and project coordination, and will have ample opportunity for promotion within a high-growth organization.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct prospecting and qualification efforts and have a short conversation with prospects to help find funding opportunities for nonprofits
- Contribute to the development and refinement of all Impact Partners marketing materials
- Identify and develop new opportunities, using LinkedIn and other tools to research Grant Managers and Executive Directors with whom to build connections
- Contact a high-volume of prospects every day via phone and email
- Track and report on outcomes to team
- Research on funders and influencers in communities to determine funding patterns and connections in order to build communication strategy
- Maintenance of funder information and development of our community mapping information in Salesforce.
Skills & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or 1-2 years relevant experience
- Non-profit industry experience and volunteering a plus
- Experience in a lead generation sales position that involved acting quickly to respond to calls on a daily basis in a high-volume, fast paced environment a plus
- Ability to identify, research, call on, and interact with the senior-level executives and decision makers at targeted organizations
- Must have strong customer service, conversation, and tele-qualification skills
- Strong data-entry process abilities are a must, Salesforce experience a plus
