Under the leadership of the Director of Business Development, this position will take ownership of programs for identified constituents, developing them from conception through execution. This will require the ability to lead, influence, and manage a team of stakeholders that includes attorneys, administrative staff, and colleagues at all levels. After an initial period of training, this position is eligible for a hybrid-remote work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborates with and assists practice groups, client teams, and individual attorneys with marketing initiatives, including creation and execution of business development plans; responds to requests for proposals; and client presentations, seminars and events (including post-event follow-up).
- Identifies and supports brand-building opportunities; manages external marketing events and sponsorships by acting as point person with attorneys, event planner, design group, local office staff and others as needed.
- Responsible for proposal and pitch development. Participates in team meetings, gathers input/data, drafts responses and materials, and ensures that the final product is effective, accurate and delivered on time.
- Conducts research on potential clients, as necessary.
- Contributes to and is responsible for maintaining proper knowledge management within the Firm. Assists national teams in collecting attorney representative experience and compiles such into effective tools for use in business development.
- Assists attorneys with bio updates, maintains local office brochure inventory, and covers other day-to-day marketing responsibilities as needed.
Experience and Education Qualifications
- Bachelor degree required.
- Five years of work experience in a professional setting is required.
- Three years of experience in marketing or business development in a professional services environment is required, prior law firm experience is strongly preferred, although other professional service experience will be considered.
