BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We are looking for an experienced leader to source and scale technology partnerships that power new features for Current’s users. You’ll report to our Head of Business Development, and collaborate with our Product Leadership, to assess available partners and make strategic decisions about how to bring the best suite of services to our users. From the strategy of each client relationship, to day-to-day reporting and support work, to collaborating across marketing, engineering and product to drive outcomes. This candidate will hit the ground running as an individual contributor, but will scale to manage a team over time. This is an exceptional opportunity to help build our team from the ground up and have a considerable impact on a rapidly scaling company.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help Current execute on our product strategy by managing & expanding strategic partnerships
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact for key partners, ready to triage any issues that arise while keeping teams on track towards long-term partnership goals
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Biz Ops to define solutions for common partner concerns & pain points 

ABOUT YOU:

  • 6+ years of experience in business development or strategy roles
  • Proven track record of building relationships and executing ambitious plans with external partners
  • Strong presentation and data analysis skills – experience with SQL is a plus
  • Familiarity with financial technology or a strong interest in learning about the industry
  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced and fluid startup environment 
  • Has worked with varied teams and multiple stakeholders to launch features
