Summary:
The graphic designer creates layouts and graphics for proposals, qualification packages, interviews, and in-house materials including printed brochures, flyers, boards, and multi-media presentations. The person in this position works with the pursuit team through creative brainstorming to develop an overall aesthetic and creative concept that maintains the PRR brand and aligns with project win themes and messaging.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Essential Job Duties
- Attend kick-off meetings and brainstorming sessions that help develop a look and feel for the proposal or interview pitch
- Interact with proposal managers and technical leads to create materials, concepts, and ideas that meet client needs and timelines
- Attend content brainstorming and storyboarding meetings and sketch graphic ideas or show graphic concepts that help the team explain concepts through visuals
- Produce templates, graphics, mood boards, and other visuals with little to no art direction
- Perform final design and layout of materials, including color schemes, typefaces, etc.
- Create all in-line graphics for proposals
- Develop materials for interviewing with the client, such as boards, PowerPoint presentations and leave behinds
- Design layout and graphics for various materials including brochures, flyers, exhibit boards, newsletters, and other printed materials
- Design covers, tabs, and dividers as required for proposals
- Develop ADA compliant materials as required for proposals
- Create templates that help maximize efficiencies
- Coach team members on working within InDesign templates
- Manage production for all proposals, presentations, and in-house graphic materials
- Coordinate production of graphic materials by outside vendors
- Manage and maintain graphics library on internal server
Quality Assurance
- Set and maintain high, error-free standards for all graphics
- Provide timely and accurate response to information requests
- Proof and edit all work products prior to distribution
- Ensure marketing materials are exceptional and superior to the competition
Experience/Education:
- Five to seven years of experience developing graphics, multi-page layouts for proposals or reports, and slide decks, preferably as part of a proposal, marketing, or business development team
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design preferred
Skills Required:
- Advanced Adobe InDesign and Illustrator skills
- Advanced Powerpoint skills
- Ability to translate complex information into graphics
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work with staff across departments and at all levels
- Ability to develop layout that organize and present information in an easy to understand manner
- Confidentiality, dependability, and mature judgment
- Work well both independently and collaboratively with a variety of communication/personalities styles
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends to achieve project deadlines
