We currently have an opening for a Budget Analyst II The position is designated Statutory Exempt and is exempt from the State Human Resources Act This vacancy is open to current North Carolina state government and UNC System employees only or previous NC state government and UNC System employees with unexpired RIF priority re-employment rights. Current temporary employees working in NC state government or in the UNC System will also be considered. This is a REPOST. Previous applicants MUST REAPPLY to be considered. The Budget Analyst II position will work within the N.C. Department of Information Technology’s (NCDIT) Finance Division, reporting directly to the DIT Budget Manager. The position will collaborate with various division managers throughout the organization by providing consultation and advice on fiscal organization, budget and management policies and procedures. The Budget Analyst II is responsible for assisting the DIT Budget Manager in the development, execution and management of budgets and preparing the information necessary to assist in the calculation of service rates. The Budget Analyst II is expected to prepare trend analyses and forecasts of revenue and expenditure levels and work closely will all segments of DIT Senior Management under the general supervision of the Division Support Budget Manager. As an advanced level position, the Budget Analyst II will assist the Division Support Budget Manager in monitoring the work products of the Budget Analyst I positions. Bachelor s degree in business administration, public administration, accounting, or related field, from an accredited institution and four years of experience preferably including experience in accounting or budgeting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. |
