OVERVIEW
The Brewery Representative is responsible for the overall management of the Boston/Greater Boston territory. The primary responsibility is managing sales to on- and off-premise retailers. The Brewery Rep. must maintain and grow existing accounts and acquire new business. Other duties include managing, merchandising, and relationship development. The ideal candidate will have the skills to quickly master territory planning and management, achieve or exceed sales goals on a routine basis, perform all aspects of job duties with minimal supervision, and exemplify our Company Fundamentals.
JOB DUTIES
(include but are not limited to)
- Direct Sales: Plan and execute accounts calls according to an established routing pattern. Sell in MBBC products. Secure optimal order based on Company objectives and account needs.
- Merchandising: Establish and implement merchandising objectives relative to brand priority for each account by:
o packing-out product in keeping with FIFO freshness rotation,
o utilizing branded POS,
o building displays,
o and, where applicable, utilizing the support of a Sales Merchandiser.
- Data Analysis and Planning: By using sales reports and other information, create plans to maximize sales to each individual account and delivery on Company goals and priorities.
- New Account Acquisition: Identify, call on, and secure business at new and non-buy retailers within the assigned territory.
- Compliance: Observe all state and federal laws for the sale, merchandising, and promotion of Company products.
- Administration: Mastery of MBBC’s operating systems, including route accounting software (DEACOM), pricing and product programming information, and other reporting requirements.
- Promotions: Ensure maximum brand visibility and pull-through within accounts by organizing special promotional and sampling events.

QUALIFICATIONS
- 2+ years of experience in the beer, wine & spirits industry or 3+ years of outer market sales experience
- The ideal candidate will live in or around the Boston area
- Have passion for craft beer and sales

- Live in the territory and have a reliable car

- Be very comfortable with public speaking to an audience of 10-100 people
REQUIREMENTS
45-50+ hours per week. Evening and weekend work required. Extensive travel throughout assigned territory with personal vehicle. Requires lifting and carrying of 40+ lbs. of product on a regular basis.
