Specific responsibilities for the breakfast cook include: - Preparing all foods necessary for service
- Ordering and Inventory control
- Practicing safe food handling techniques
- Maintaining knife safety standards
- Demonstrating competency in breakfast cookery, vegetable preparations, cooking starches, basic meat, fish, & poultry cooking
Candidates with more experience will also be responsible for: - Advanced meat, fish and poultry fabrication, advanced stocks, soups and sauce preparation
- Develop daily specials that contribute to the development of our food program and new menus
- Having an advanced knowledge of multiple styles of service
- Demonstrating leadership in your work group, have the ability to lead the kitchen in the absence of the unit chef
This is a full time opportunity at the Wisconsin Room. Working 40 hours a week, shifts are typically 5:00am to 1:00pm, weekdays and weekends. Skills/Requirements - Prior culinary experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and the ability to execute recipes accurately in a timely manner
- Ability to sit, stand, twist, bend, push, pull, walk, and lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
