Full-Time Bookkeeper
Job Description
- Manages accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Verifies, allocates, and posts details of business transactions from documents such as sales orders, invoices, and receipts.
- Posts checks to positive pay and manages variances.
- Monitors bank account transactions match to ensure accounts are in balance.
- Ensures that SC sales and use tax are applied and reported correctly.
- Assist in budgeting and financial reporting
- Manages all aspects of 1099 reporting.
- Answers accounting questions from customers and vendors.
- Processes reimbursements.
- Support with technical accounting tasks as needed
- Additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in Accounting preferred.
- Minimum of 2-5 years accounting experience.
- Experience within the property management/real estate industry a plus.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including double entry bookkeeping and general ledger accounting.
- Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Proficiency in accounting software; Quick Books.
- Experience with financial report writing and financial statement preparation.
- Ability to analyze financial data and identify areas for cost savings.
- Experience with financial reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to financial and accounting standards.
