About you:
- Calls all patients on the pharmacy’s compliance list five (5) to seven (7) (Specialty Pharmacy) days in advance of their next expected refill to ensure refills are needed and expected.
- Responsible for reviewing and/or reading all notes as requested by the pharmacy staff.
- Reviews the entire patient profile to see if they are due any refills on other medications that are filled by the same pharmacy location.
- Responsible for managing and updating the Patient Management System (PMS), QS1 and/or Excel compliance spreadsheets accurately with dates filled, follow up, notes, left message, faxed MD, etc., on a daily basis.
- Required to meet the daily minimum call number standards.
- Receives incoming telephone calls, takes accurate messages, and directs telephone calls to the appropriate pharmacy personnel.
- Follows up on prescription or request status with the patient and prescriber, communicating with the patients if refills are not received.
- Verifies patient name, date of birth, address, correct delivery date, special delivery address and any other information required by refill scripts and document the information on the spreadsheet, QS1 and/or Patient Management System.
Qualifications:
- Bilingual – Spanish/English
- Have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Be registered and in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy in the state which they are expected to work.
- State and National certification through an accredited certification program is preferred.

- Excellent customer service
- Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Have knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; inventory software; internet software; order processing systems; QSI; Docutrack; Script ProRobot and/or Parata Robot and POS software.
- Create personal interaction with patients’ and team members to develop lasting relationships.
- Be pro-active in identifying and analyzing problems and providing solutions.
