Job Description
“This role is currently work-from-home and will move to the office environment after the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.”
12 Month Contract
Responsibilities:
- Provide 24/7 and (when necessary) weekend support for systems involved in the architecture.
- Primary focus will be File transfer technologies – Axway Secure Transport and Axway CFT.
- Installation, upgrade and patching of Axway SecureTransport and CFT servers.
- Administration of SecureTransport and CFT Services.
- Defining IDF and Partners in CFT, communicating with Application teams to onboard to File transfer technologies.
- Setting up SSL between CFT Partners.
- Defining Transfer Site/Subscription/Advanced Routing on SecureTransport server.
- Automating day-to-day File transfer tasks with Unix/Windows scripting.
- Create CSR (mainly via Open SSL), install and replace SSL Certificates
- The position requires a high degree of interaction with application development teams and as a result, superior communication skills are essential
- Deploy Standards and Procedures to comply with Audit, Configuration, Industry and Security baselines.
- Proactively monitor all Middleware related systems utilizing vendor supplied standard tools.
- Maintain complete inventory, configuration and documentation of deployed systems and supported apps.
- Work with the Engineering Teams on various Middleware related projects
- Work within the project management framework defined for IT Production North America.
- Identify operational and infrastructure risks within the environment and work with the application development teams and business users to make corrections and mitigate risks.
- Ensure optimal resilience of deployed systems and meet all disaster recovery and compliance requirements dictated by the business.
- Maintain top-notch technical skills & business knowledge through proactive self-learning in addition to any formal instructor-led training
- Interface with external vendors in troubleshooting complex, cross-platform issues.
- Supporting the business on-call after business hours and weekends on a rotation basis.
Position Requirements
- Strong Knowledge and experience with CFT Setup, Partner/IDF definition, SSL setup
- Knowledge and experience with Axway SecureTransport Server and Edge component with cluster setup.
- Exposure to monitoring tools such as Axway Sentinel.
- Knowledge and experience with Networking/Firewall components to troubleshoot File transfer issues.
- Knowledge and expertise working with file transfer through SOCKS server.
- Strong knowledge and experience with SSL Certificate Authentication
- Strong knowledge and experience with PowerShell scripting.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft O/S, SUN Solaris, and Linux.
- Working knowledge and experience with Python.
- Will be required to comply fully with the bank’s general policies on attendance, compliance and professional conduct.
- Willingness to adapt to the changes constantly introduced by the Bank’s dynamic environment.
Considered a plus
- Knowledge and experience with other flavors of web application servers (Apache Tomcat, JBOSS, Weblogic)
- Knowledge and experience with Messaging Products(IBM MQ, Solace, Kafka)
- Knowledge and experience with other flavors of web servers (Apache Web, IIS)
- Good understanding of Load Balancers (LTM)
- Good understanding of DNS and GTMs
- File transfer automation through Ansible.
