NEW HIGHER SALARY: $35,788 – $62,628
 
The Challenge
We are looking for a skilled automotive mechanic/vehicle equipment repair technician II to join our Robeson Equipment team.
 
In this role, you will:
    • Perform semi-skilled and skilled small engine, automotive, heavy equipment, and mechanical work.
    • Diagnose, service, repair, and rebuild automotive mechanical systems for gasoline- and diesel-powered automotive and heavy equipment.
    • Train and operate advanced level equipment.
What You Bring
    • Preventative maintenance experience on at least of one of the following: light, medium, heavy-duty trucks, and heavy equipment.
    • Diagnostics experience in basic electrical systems and proper wiring repairs.
    • Basic hydraulic system repair experience including component replacement and hoses.
    • Knowledge of diagnostic software, tools, and equipment for trucks and heavy equipment.
    • Diagnostics and repair experience on manual transmission components.
    • Ability to safely operate medium dump truck.
    • Skills in the safe use & care of assigned equipment, hand & power tools, & ability to perform manual maintenance duties.
    • Ability to act upon verbal & written communications.
    • Agility to traverse steep and uneven terrain.
    • Strength to lift 50 pounds.
    • Ability to work effectively in extreme temperature conditions.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain an inmate card.
  
Management Prefers
    • Candidates with a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with N endorsement.
Notes
    • Your work will be performed with minimal direct supervision.
    • Safety toe footwear is required.
    • We will conduct a pre-employment drug testing and do a background check with your previous employers for the past 2 years about controlled substances and alcohol testing.
    • We may require current certification by the EPA as a Type I, II, III, or Universal Technician.
 
Education & Experience
    • High School/GED diploma, and
    • 2+ years of relevant experience, or
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
