Full-Time Automotive Mechanic / Equipment Repair Technician II – NEW HIGHER PAY!
Job Description
- Perform semi-skilled and skilled small engine, automotive, heavy equipment, and mechanical work.
- Diagnose, service, repair, and rebuild automotive mechanical systems for gasoline- and diesel-powered automotive and heavy equipment.
- Train and operate advanced level equipment.
- Preventative maintenance experience on at least of one of the following: light, medium, heavy-duty trucks, and heavy equipment.
- Diagnostics experience in basic electrical systems and proper wiring repairs.
- Basic hydraulic system repair experience including component replacement and hoses.
- Knowledge of diagnostic software, tools, and equipment for trucks and heavy equipment.
- Diagnostics and repair experience on manual transmission components.
- Ability to safely operate medium dump truck.
- Skills in the safe use & care of assigned equipment, hand & power tools, & ability to perform manual maintenance duties.
- Ability to act upon verbal & written communications.
- Agility to traverse steep and uneven terrain.
- Strength to lift 50 pounds.
- Ability to work effectively in extreme temperature conditions.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an inmate card.
- Candidates with a Class A Commercial Driver’s License with N endorsement.
- Your work will be performed with minimal direct supervision.
- Safety toe footwear is required.
- We will conduct a pre-employment drug testing and do a background check with your previous employers for the past 2 years about controlled substances and alcohol testing.
- We may require current certification by the EPA as a Type I, II, III, or Universal Technician.
- High School/GED diploma, and
- 2+ years of relevant experience, or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
