Full-Time Automotive Mechanic / Equipment Repair Technician II – 2 Openings!
Job Description
- Service, repair, rebuild, and diagnose mechanical systems for gas/diesel-powered automotive, heavy equipment.
- Perform mechanic work at all levels.
- A complete set of mechanic tools.
- Experience performing preventive maintenance on 1+ of the following: light, medium, heavy-duty trucks, and/or heavy equipment.
- Diagnostics experience of basic electrical systems, manual transmission components, and proper wiring repairs.
- Basic hydraulic system repair experience, including component replacement and hoses.
- Knowledge of diagnostic software, tools, and equipment for trucks/heavy equipment.
- Ability to repair and maintain automotive and heavy equipment, and diagnose problems using diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to understand written and verbal instructions.
- Strength to lift heavy objects and move parts/materials to repair/maintain equipment.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors.
- Commitment to provide safe working environment by leading by example.
- Ability to read and interpret Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) manuals, schematics, diagrams, and sketches.
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License with N endorsements. (If you don’t have this, still apply. You can get it through our on-the-job training within 360 days of hire).
- Safety toe shoes.
- We will conduct a pre-employment drug screening and background check for your past 2 years about controlled substances and alcohol testing.
- We may require current certification by the EPA as a Type I, II, III, or Universal Technician.
- High School/GED diploma, and
- 2+ years of relevant experience, or
- An equivalent combination of education and experience.
